Poor, Sweet Bambikles

Poor, sweet Bambikles was too good for this world.
This story’s obviously a parody of Bambi, but as a few readers noticed, it’s far more influenced by Chirin no Suzu, aka Ringing Bell, aka the darkest Sanrio film ever made. Archimedes the owl’s appearance is based on the owl on the back of Ancient Athenian tetradrachm coins and his name is a reference to Disney's The Sword in the Stone. In panel 7, Bambikles has a badger friend instead of a skunk friend because skunks are an American animal.
The first time I uploaded this comic, the eye beams page was a rapidly flashing animated gif. I’ve since decided this cute feature was not worth the risk of epileptic seizures.
